We have recently asked each diocese to support the appeal with a modest £2,000 – £4,000. We understand times are tight, but we are also convinced that Sheldon is offering excellent value for money to the church as a whole in our support of clergy who run into trouble.

Sheffield – £500 (plus retiring collection at next Chrism Eucharist) – Many of our clergy speak of the value of the Society and how they have benefited.
St Albans – £4,000 – A number of clergy in the diocese have benefited from spending time with the Community and I know how much they valued the Mary and Martha ministry
St Asaph – £1,300 – I recently heard from a cleric who speaks very warmly of the care that he received from you. SMM clearly makes a very valuable contribution to the support and encouragement of clergy and undertakes a very valuable ministry for the church. We wanted to express our appreciation and thanks for all that you do to support our clergy when they need it most.

Salisbury – £3,000 – We know from experience that Sheldon is a safe haven if a priest is in need of immediate support in times of stress or crisis. We regard it as one of a limited number of resources we can draw on for the support and wellbeing of clergy and are therefore happy to contribute to your work.
